NIS2 Article 23 incident reporting for Jira Cloud
1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing or using NIS2Shield ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. The App is provided by IronClad Forge ("we", "us", "our"). If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the App.
2. Description of Service
NIS2Shield is an Atlassian Forge application that helps organisations manage NIS2 Directive Article 23 incident reporting obligations within Jira Cloud. The App provides:
- Incident creation and classification with NIS2-required fields
- Automated deadline tracking for the 24-hour, 72-hour, and 30-day reporting cascade
- Pre-filled CSIRT notification template generation
- Jira issue panel integration with deadline escalation comments
- Audit trail for compliance evidence
3. Subscription and Billing
- NIS2Shield is a paid application, billed monthly through the Atlassian Marketplace
- A free trial period may be offered; the trial duration is specified at the time of installation
- All billing, invoicing, and payment processing is handled by Atlassian. We do not collect or store payment information
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Atlassian Marketplace. Access continues until the end of the current billing period
4. Not Legal Advice
Important: NIS2Shield is a compliance workflow tool, not a legal service. The App helps you track deadlines and generate notification templates, but it does not constitute legal advice. You are responsible for:
- Verifying that your incident reports meet your specific national transposition requirements
- Actually submitting notifications to your national CSIRT through the appropriate channels
- Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the information you enter
- Consulting qualified legal counsel for compliance decisions
5. Your Responsibilities
- You are responsible for all data entered into the App
- You must have the authority to install and use the App on your Jira Cloud instance
- You are responsible for managing access to the App within your organisation
- You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the NIS2 Directive
6. Data and Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. All data is stored within the Atlassian Forge platform. We do not transfer data to external servers.
7. Availability and Support
- The App runs on the Atlassian Forge platform. Availability depends on Atlassian's infrastructure
- We aim to resolve support requests within 2 business days
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted service and are not liable for downtime caused by the Atlassian platform
- Support is available via email at support@ironclad-forge.com
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied
- We are not liable for any missed reporting deadlines, compliance failures, or regulatory penalties
- Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the App is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
9. Termination
- You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your Jira instance
- We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms
- Upon uninstallation, data stored in Forge Storage is automatically removed
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms. Changes will be posted at this URL with the updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
